How accurate are the royalty calculators?

Every rate and formula is documented with cited sources — Spotify's Loud & Clear, SoundExchange, official distributor pricing pages, ASCAP/BMI/MLC documentation — with a visible last-reviewed date. Estimates, but honest, sourced estimates.

Streaming payouts aren't fixed rates; they vary by country, subscription mix, and deal. The calculators use published per-stream averages so you get a realistic planning number, not a promise — and the methodology page shows exactly which number came from where.

When a platform or distributor changes pricing, the constants update and the review date moves. If you spot a stale rate, the suggest-a-fix link on every tool goes straight to us.
